Gulf Aviation is the premier, full-service aircraft maintenance and repair facility in South Texas, conveniently located at Valley International Airport (KHRL), and has been serving the Rio Grande Valley for over 40 years.

Our full-time FAA Authorized Inspectors specialize in producing and delivering quality inspection, modification, and repair work. Expertise ranges from the small Cessna, Piper, Mooney, and Beechcraft single and multi-engine airplanes to corporate and commuter airline-type turbines.

All technicians are well-trained and experienced to operate our specialized tools and equipment, expediting the repair, inspection, modification, or emergency “demand” work needed for most sizes of aircraft.

GSE Maintenance

Gulf Aviation has performed Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance services for over the past 25 years. What once started as an in-house operation, quickly grew and expanded to operations on and off Valley International’s airfield. Some of our maintenance customers include United Parcel Service, McAllen International Airport, Valley International Airport, SkyWest, Federal Express, and GSI/DANTA. We have established and maintained excellent working relationships with all our current customers and are available whenever the situation calls for services.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Gulf Aviation is capable and equipped to perform all required scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance and repairs on all company fleet vehicles and/or equipment to maintain regulatory compliance. Gulf Aviation currently has two company service trucks and mechanics along with two assistant mechanics to perform the work on or off-site as deemed necessary. We have established and maintained an excellent working relationship with all our current customers and have made ourselves available whenever the situation has called for services. Our maintenance services include but are not limited to:

Troubleshoot and repair, perform inspections, and routine maintenance which include but are not limited to vehicle manufacturers such as Ford, Chevy, GMC, Mercedes Benz, and ground support equipment specialized in diesel including but not limited to belt loaders, lav carts, refueling trucks, airconditioned carts, ground power units (GPU), air stairs, push back and baggage tugs.
Provide services in areas such as bodywork, engine repair, suspension and steering, alternator repair, electrical systems or brakes, and repair and overhaul of hydraulic cylinders.
Provide routine maintenance inspections (PMI) which include such tasks as checking tire pressure, changing engine oil, checking and replacing spark plugs, wires, and distributor caps, or ensuring the reliability of the unit’s brake system.
